Communication actions

The benefits of electrical appliances’ recycling, such as reducing pollution and saving natural resources, are important for society. Yet they are not directly related to people's daily routines and are not understood by all to the same extent. The result is that recycling awareness  varies significantly from person to person. With the help of research and statistical tools, Appliances Recycling studies the different perceptions and attitudes that citizens have about the environment and recycling, and monitors how they develop.

By understanding the citizens’ framework of values in terms of the environment, the extent they are informed, as well as their concerns, we can develop creative and interactive forms of communication so that they are encouraged to take individual responsibility and make the recycling of electrical appliances part of their everyday lives.

Withn this framework, every year Appliances Recycling designs and implements integrated communication programmes, comprising media campaigns, local promotions and publicity activities. As young people are more concerned about the environment, the place to meet them is internet and social media, which are increasingly used by Appliances Recycling.
